Brew-tiful Graphics with Canva

January 26, 20263 min read

Let’s be honest: design can feel like a giant mug of confusing choices — fonts, colors, layouts, templates galore. If you’re new to Canva or have made something and ever thought, “Why doesn’t this look like my brand?” — you’re not alone.

This week, we’re leaning into Canva long enough that design stops feeling like a guess and starts feeling like a skill — one you can use intentionally and reliably.

☕ Why Design Matters

Your audience doesn’t consciously notice visuals… until you don’t have them. A mismatched feed screams chaos. But a consistent look?
That tells people: this business knows who it is.

And that builds trust.

☕ From Brand Kit to Branded Graphics

Now that you’ve set up your brand kit with colors, fonts, and logos (Week 2, if you need a refresher), it’s time to apply it.

Instead of choosing random templates…
you choose templates that fit your brand.
Instead of mixing fonts…
you use fonts that belong to your story.

☕ Time to make graphics

Quote Graphics
These aren’t just words on a picture. They’re your voice packaged in visuals that stop the scroll. These are great for reviews, testimonials, or personal quotes. If you're thinking about motivational messages, just beware of platitudes- instead, share your own wisdom.

Promotion Tiles or Business-looking graphics
Whether you’re announcing a workshop, a sale, or a new offer — these are clean, clear, consistent, and clickable.

Reusable Templates
Set a few up once — and use them again and again. Batch graphics like a pro. For example, FAQ, Q&A, Quote graphics, Work with us, or even theme days. (Ask me for this document when we have a 1:1.)

Intentional Visuals
No more random colors or fonts that feel “close enough.” You own your look. You can pre-choose enough templates with a similar tone that look great when changed to your brand. You can even emulate them and make your own.

A Feed That Feels Like You
Not generic. Not borrowed. Yours.

Notes

Make sure you have brand photos and incorporate your image into the graphics so your audience associates you with the biz.

☕ Design Is a Skill — Not a Mystery

You don’t need a design degree. You need familiarity, intention, and consistency. The more you practice in Canva, the more it feels like brewing your favorite cup: predictable and satisfying.

So open Canva. Use your Brand Kit. Start designing with purpose.

Your visuals should look intentional — not accidental.
