Week 2 – Content Paralysis: When Your Brain Says “Post” but Your Cursor Says “Nope”

You open Canva. You start typing.
You delete.
You scroll.
You second-guess.
You
maybe make a Reel… and then don’t post it.
You tell yourself you’ll “circle back later” and suddenly, it’s Tuesday of next week.
Again.

Welcome to Content Paralysis—that familiar feeling when you want to create, you try to create, but nothing makes it past your drafts folder.

Let’s call it what it is: analysis paralysis meets perfectionism in a coffee-stained Canva template.

☕ Why This Happens (And You're Not Alone)

Here’s why this hits so many business owners right in the espresso shot:

  • You don’t know what to post

  • You’re not sure how it should look

  • You’re terrified it won’t sound right

  • You’re overthinking the entire thing into oblivion

It’s not laziness. It’s pressure—with a side of imposter syndrome and an ever-changing algorithm screaming in the background.

☕ What To Do Instead (Let’s Break the Spiral)

Here’s how to outsmart Content Paralysis:

Pick a theme or pillar and stick to it – No more starting from scratch every time. Use content buckets (like Educate, Entertain, Engage, Sell, Delight).

Batch like a barista – Sit down, plan ahead, and knock out 3–5 posts in one session. The caffeine hits harder when you’re productive.

Use a script or a hook – Don’t try to write poetry every time. Start with a strong hook (I have given you dozens in previous posts and have more here at the end!) and roll from there.

Done > perfect – The goal is to connect, not compose the next viral masterpiece. (Most people forget viral content within a week anyway.)

Use templates – Canva is your best friend, not your frenemy. Capcut has endless video templates. Grab some and make them do the heavy lifting.

☕ Remember This:

People don’t connect with perfection.
They connect with YOU.

If you’re sitting on a dozen drafted posts, unposted Reels, or a hard drive full of “someday,” it’s time to release the need for perfect and post the dang thing.

You’re not behind. You’re just buried in drafts. Let’s fix that.
