This Content Coffee Pot’s Got More Buzz Than a Triple Espresso: Time to Entertain

Entertainment is the second pillar in your content strategy (Educate–Entertain–Engage–Sell–Delight). It keeps your audience liking you as a person, not just a brand. People hit “follow” because they repeat a pattern: Did you laugh, cringe, or say “that’s so me”? Then bam—they follow.

Here’s how to pack that punch:

☕1. Trending Audio + Behind-the-Scenes

Try the “Do You Work Here?” trend—where users stand in their space and let the clip answer the question. It’s quick, quirky, and ideal for showcasing your workspace vibe

Example 3: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DA3nyS3SrbC/?hl=en

Example 4: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CNyVwT8APCA/

You'll click on the name of the audio at the bottom of the video (on your phone) so you can use it. Time your recording to match the audio or just re-create it entirely yourself.

If you're a solopreneur, this will be very funny when you talk to yourself and especially if you make a complaint!

☕2. Mini Vlogs + ASMR-Style Moments

Capture a satisfying moment—like pouring a latte, swiping on a gloss, or folded blankets—and slow it down with soft sound. Deck it with on-screen text: “That feeling when…” It shows personality without needing speaking skills.

Here's another idea: in your video, if you speak, you can use a whispery voice. There's a large segment of the population that finds it soothing and can even go to sleep to it. YouTube has an endless library of ASMR videos. You would speak over the video, like a voiceover, and title it something catchy.

You can also record the sounds as you do something like open a box, prepare your coffee, prepare dinner- and cut the clip so just the movements with their sounds are kept. Those fast cuts from one sound to the next are captivating! In this case, the sounds are enough. Put a title on the video and make sure to show the outcome. Describe what people are seeing in the video when you write the caption.

☕3. The “Jaws Theme Walk-by” Trend

Circle around something—your product, desk, or office plant (or walk by in one direction, then back)—with dramatic tension. Add overlay text like “When someone says your services are too pricey…” and cut back dramatically. It’s comedic tension done right.

I prefer a faster version of the music, but the idea is super cute: https://www.instagram.com/p/DJVGJzkSkh1/?hl=en&img_index=3

☕4. Trending Meme Reaction

Use popular “Relatable x10” formats (like #noughtiesnostalgia or pop culture throwbacks) merged with your brand. Example: “When your fourth coffee kicks in at 3 PM…” with a quick dancing or head-tilt meme format.

That means taking an existing music clip and either making a meme or acting out what it feels like after your 4th coffee while the music plays. Something like "Danger Zone" from Top Gun or "Maniac" from Flashdance would be hilarious. You can either use an existing sound clip on Instagram (or wherever) or make your video and add the music from Edits, CapCut, or the Reels editor (or on TikTok, of course).

Title it "Relatable x 10" and say in the text for the post "When your fourth coffee kicks in at 3 PM…."

☕5. Diaolgue with Yourself or...

Play both roles in a conversation. Change something simple like a scarf, jacket, or hat. This is a good time for face close-ups.

Or, if you have a tiny microphone, like a lapel mic, use it (on or not) and record a mock interview with yourself, your products, or even your coffee mug.

The tiny mic is funny. And if you have the tiny hands, too? Gold.

Example caption:

“I asked my planner how it feels to be ignored all week…”

☕6. Before Coffee vs. After Coffee”

Classic, relatable, and SO on brand.

Look a mess in the Before part, then put together in the After part.

Example caption (type this in the post):

Before: I forgot my password again. After: I’m ready to take over the digital world. ☕”

You don't have to say anything and have the chance to really have fun being super dramatic.

☕Why Entertain Works So Damn Well

  • Boosts time spent with your content (which the algorithm loves).

  • Shows off brand personality—a huge part of follow/engage decisions.

  • Dress rehearsal for creative marketing—videos like this are low-stakes but high fun.
