A Shot of Social Proof: The Power of Tuesday Testimonials
Welcome back to our series on building a consistent posting schedule without burning out! Last week, speaking about the first month, we brewed up a 3-post routine (M-W-F). Now, looking at the second month of your growth to a 5-day/week posting schedule, we’re topping off the cup by adding another post: a Tuesday testimonial or personal quote.
What goes on Tuesday? A shot of social proof or personal insight—your testimonial post. Think of this as adding a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of your latte. It’s a small addition, but it changes the whole experience.
Why Tuesday? Because it gives your audience a midweek boost of credibility or connection before diving into your educational content on Wednesday. Think of it like an extra splash of cream in your latte—small but impactful.
☕ Testimonial Tuesday
Testimonials are like coffee shop reviews—proof that other people love what you serve. Share what clients, customers, or colleagues have said about you. For example, I might share something like:
“Rene gave me more content ideas in one coffee chat than I’ve had all year!”
Those words aren’t just validation; they’re caffeine for my audience’s trust in me.
☕ Quote Tuesday
On the flip side, you can also use Tuesday to share a personal quote or philosophy. This is where you let people peek behind the espresso machine to see what really fuels your work.
Here’s why this works:
Testimonials provide 3rd party validation—someone else singing your praises carries more weight than you saying it yourself.
Personal quotes let you highlight your own values, personality, or “why” behind your business—so your audience connects with you, not just your service.
This post type builds trust and gives your audience that extra sip of confidence to keep engaging with you. By adding just one more day, you’re slowly warming up to a full, rich posting routine without overwhelming yourself.
Think of it like moving from a tall to a grande—you’re not at the venti just yet, but you’re expanding your caffeine capacity one cup at a time.
It's adding a drizzle of caramel to your latte—it’s a small touch, but suddenly the flavor is unforgettable.
For me, it’s based on this:
“God gave me these talents to help people be the best they can be, and I get to do that through social media now (instead of the classroom).”
That’s not just a quote. It’s the heart behind everything I do—and it helps people understand not just what I do, but why I do it.
Your personal philosophy is your brand’s secret ingredient. Sharing it once a week ensures your audience doesn’t just know you as the “business owner” but as the person behind the business.
So, when in doubt, brew up a testimonial or a personal philosophy post. Both flavors give your content that extra richness and depth.
☕ Examples
☕ Examples of Testimonials
“Working with Rene gave me clarity on my social media in less than an hour. I finally feel like I have a plan instead of just posting randomly.”
“She makes social media feel fun again! I don’t dread it anymore.”
“Rene gave me more ideas for my content in one coffee chat than I’ve had all year.”
☕ Example of Personal Quotes
“I believe social media doesn’t have to be stressful—it can be creative, caffeinated, and even fun.”
“At the heart of my business is helping people show up like rock stars in their space—confident, consistent, and caffeinated.”
“Social media isn’t about algorithms, it’s about people. My job is to make sure your voice reaches the people who need it most.”
“Consistency doesn’t mean perfection—it means showing up. And showing up is where the magic happens.”
Adding a quote or testimonial once a week helps your audience sip on your values and see proof that what you do works. It’s that combo of credibility + connection that makes your brand unforgettable.
So when you think of your Tuesday posts, ask: What do I believe, and what do others say about me?
